Position: Shape-Sweden Committee
My Wadstrom works as a keeper at the Skansen Aquarium in Stockholm, mainly with South American
primates. Much of her work involves environmental enrichment, which is hugely
important to these animals to thrive. But clicker training is also a part of
the work, in order to reduce stress in medical exams, facilitate weighing and
other stressful events.
My is a trained human behaviorist, which is also
suitable for her work with animals. My lectures to zoo people
and dog owners. As training is a part of animal welfare as well as
environmental enrichment, she is interested in both topics. As a member of the
Regional Committee of Shape-Sweden, she can provide the group with expert
knowledge related to positive reinforcement training of zoo animals.
