SHAPE—Africa is governed by an Executive Committee. The officers and their responsibilities are listed below.

 

Current committee members

Position Available- Treasurer

Responsibilities:

Manage all financial transactions within SHAPE—Africa organization. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:

 

1.   Set-up and manage a bank account in the name of SHAPE—Africa that will have dual signatory with the secretary for depositing all funds received.

2.   Maintain an up to date log of all transactions undertaken by SHAPE—Africa.

3.   Work closely with the membership co-ordinator to ensure all members of Shape—Africa pay their correct subscription and receive a subsequent receipt of payment either for annual membership or individual events.

4.   Assist the fundraising co-ordinator to ensure all sponsorship received is processed correctly.

5.   Create a summary of all transactions at the end of each quarter to be sent to all committee members for perusal.

6.   Perform an internal audit at the end of each financial year.

7.   Personally and professionally promote animal enrichment in a positive light and refrain from any act that may bring you as an individual and subsequently the organization into disrepute. 

 

Position Available- Membership Co-ordinator

Responsibilities:

To coordinate, manage and maintain the SHAPE—Africa membership portfolio.
Specific duties would include:

1. Maintaining membership lists

2. Ensuring details of members are up to date in collaboration with the treasurer and secretary

3. Send out yearly reminders to members to pay their annual subs

4. Follow up on members that have not paid their annual subs

5. Coordinate various methods of boosting membership

6. Determine a reasonable workable fee structure for members (in collaboration with the rest of the committee).

7. Oversee members defaulting i.e. removal of members from the membership list

8. Set up, monitor, and manage chat site.

9. Personally and professionally promote animal enrichment in a positive light and refrain from any act that may bring you as an individual and subsequently the organization into disrepute.
