Caitlin Gordon-Hall
Position:
Shape—North America Committee
I began working at the Assiniboine Park Zoo in
Winnipeg in the summer of 2004 and at the end of that summer I knew that
was where I wanted to work permanently. I completed my zoology degree
from the University of Manitoba in 2005. It took me four more years of
temporary zookeeping to gain a permanent zookeeping position with the zoo and it was well worth the
wait! I have been a zoo-wide floater the entire time, which I love because
I can't seem to pick a favorite section. I work with everything from bison, hornbills, monkeys, camels,
and badgers in the span of a week. I am an active member of the zooÕs Enrichment
Committee, an AAZK chapter member and Zoological
Society of Manitoba volunteer.
