The 2011 Shape of Enrichment $1000 Travel Grant Application

APPLICATION RULES (please read carefully):

1. Applications must submitted by email to Valerie Hare. If you do not receive a confirmation of receipt for your application within 1 week, please resubmit.

2. Applications must be submitted by 28 February, 2011.

3. Only full papers (not abstracts) will be accepted.

4. Only original, previously unpublished papers are eligible.

5. Your paper should describe an enrichment program or item you designed and/or implemented at your facility. Papers deemed to contain inappropriate subject matter will not be considered.

6. Do NOT include the names of people and/or institutions within the text of the paper. Wherever institutions and/or individuals are to be named in the presentation, write "Institution1", Person 1”, "Person2", and so on. At the end of the document, give the appropriate person or institution name for each.

7. Paper format must follow the ICEE Proceedings Author Guidelines.

a. Each photo, diagram, etc. must be submitted in a separate file (jpg, tiff, ppt, etc.). Do NOT embed any such graphics in the text document. See Author Guidelines for details.

b. All graphs must be submitted in a separate Excel file. Do NOT embed any graphs in the text document. See Author Guidelines for details.

8. Your submission should include:

a. This 2-page application form, completed and signed.

b. 1 text file containing:

i. Title, body, references, etc. of your paper.

ii. All authors’ full names and institutional affiliations (near end of document)

iii. Tables (if any)

iv. All institution and individual names referenced (near end of document)

v. All captions (near end of document)

c. Separate files for each photo, drawing, etc.

d. Excel file for all graphs

9. Failure to follow these rules may disqualify your paper from consideration.

10. Judges’ decisions are final.

11. The winning paper will be accepted as an oral presentation at the Tenth International Conference on Environmental Enrichment in Portland, Oregon, USA.

12. Travel Grant submissions are NOT automatically submitted to the ICEE conference. Those applicants who plan to attend the 10^th ICEE, even if NOT selected as the Travel Grant recipient, and wish to submit your paper for consideration, please follow the 10^th ICEE submission process. The conference submission deadline is 4 April, 2011.
